Covid 19 Protocol

POLICY AND PROCEDURE UPDATES RELATED TO COVID-19 SAFETY

While COVID-19 is still present in our community, our office suite will operate with these changes to standard policies and procedures to protect staff and client safety.

  • Entry by appointment only: Please call ahead to make an appointment.
  • Late cancellations: We will waive the late cancellation policy (less than 24 hours notice) for anyone who develops a fever or symptoms of illness. Please call as soon as you feel unwell and we will cancel your appointment without charging a fee.
  • Client Guests: At this time we will not allow guests to wait for clients in the waiting room. An exception is if the guest is a legal guardian.
  • Pre-session screening: Please review the screening symptom checklist 24 hours before your massage appointment and contact your therapist if you have any concerns ahead of time. You will need to fill out a consent form before your appointment which will be emailed to you. Please bring this with you.

Arrival procedure: When you arrive at our facility we will follow a strict protocol to ensure your safety and the safety of those of us working at Sunstone Massage and Associates and people in our building.

  • We ask that you wait in your car until your scheduled time and not come early to your appointment. We ask that you do not wait in the waiting room.
  • You will need a facemask to enter the building. Should you not have properly fitting facemask, we will provide a disposable surgical mask for your treatment.
  • We will ask that you stop at the restroom to wash your hands. Please note that entryways, hallways, elevators and restrooms are cleaned by the owner of the building and are not fully under our control. Please use extra caution.
  • We will ask you to then use alcohol based hand sanitizer that we have on the table in the waiting room before you enter the treatment room.
  • We will take your temperature with a no-touch thermal temperature reader to make sure you don’t have a fever (100.4 or greater). We will also take our own temperatures daily.
  • We will ask if you have any symptoms of illness including a cough or digestive issues. If you have a fever or symptoms of illness we will reschedule your massage session to a later date, at least 14 days out.
  • While COVID-19 is present in the community we will limit talking to communication necessary for ensuring a comfortable and safe massage.
  • If you develop symptoms of illness or test positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of your massage session, please call us immediately as your name and contact information will need to be shared with the Department of Health for their follow-up. We will contact you if anyone in our office experiences illness.

Thank you for taking time to read this information. We are committed to your safety and well-being and want you to have a therapeutic and enjoyable massage session.
